Gipson Mechanical – Allen Pumping Station

We provided general construction support for Gipson Mechanical on a project for MLGW at Allen Pumping Station.

The unique part of this project happened during the bidding process.

The project scope was to remove and replace a boiler in the basement of the water pumping station.

The engineering firm had developed a solution to install the boiler, but we quickly determined their solution would not work. The clearance needed to install the boiler weren’t there.

So we suggested that we cut a hole in a 17″ thick concrete wall to remove the existing boiler and install the new one.

This suggestion was responsible for getting the contract award.

We solve problems using common sense and engineering training.
